1. The bottom of page 4 gives away some of the intention of this arrangement.
2. The melody is sometimes hidden in the texture of the harmony structures, and the student has the opportunity to find a way to express the hidden sounds of the melody wherever they are.
3. It might be possible to suggest that we do not know how the angels sounded when they sang to the shepherds in the fields. Maybe this is good, so each student can create their own colors and sounds.
