The SCORE includes parts for: Flutes 1-2 (opt.3-4), Oboe, Bb Clarinets 1-2, Bass Clarinet, Bassoons, Alto Sax 1-2 for F Horns, Tenor Sax 1-2 for Trombones 1-2, Baritone Sax for Bassoon or Bass Clarinet, F Horns, Trumpets 1-2-3, Trombones 1-2-3 and Tuba, 2 Percussion Parts – Bells, Sus. Cymbal, Timpani, Violins 1-2, Violas, Celli 1(2), String Bass, Harp, Piano.
The music works if you do not have all the parts covered. This arrangement has been used widely by Church and School Orchestras and Wind Ensembles. Some groups use more than one soloist in their performance. The recording is a live performance with a high school Sophomore violinist playing the solo part.
This was created by Bob Walters, former member of the arranging staff of the U.S. Air Force Band in Washington (Ret). The setting was first used at Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield VA.
